Before photography, Carrie was a singer, working with composer and director Elizabeth Swados for almost twenty years performing at BAM, Lincoln Center, LaMaMa, Playwrights Horizons, The Actor's Studio, New York Stage & Film and numerous churches, synagogues, schools and ad hoc venues around the country.  The best gig she ever sang at was in a living room with cake and champagne on an ordinary day in February celebrating Liz's birthday.
